Do you know that you are truly created and designed for a specific purpose? God has placed gifts inside of you before birth to equip you to be able to fulfill His purpose. Have you ever taken the time to evaluate yourself so that you really know what your gifts are?
Just think for a minute and ask yourself, what am I passionate about? What can I do better than most other people? Am I good with people? Am I good with my hands? Do I have a great voice? Am I good with children? What would I choose to do if there were no obstacles in the way of my choice?
These are just some of the examples that you should think about in the discovery of your personal Christian gifts. Once you identify what your gifts are, then you need to find the ways to develop those gifts. Learn to also become comfortable with whom God made you to be, and then thank Him for your unique gifting.
"Do not neglect the gift that is in you…" I Timothy 4:14 (NKJV)
God really wants you to pursue and start developing your Christian gifts that you were created and designed to do. These gifts are a true part of your destiny. It is truly up to each of us to not only identify our gifts, but to also be disciplined enough to develop those gifts as well. You have to learn to stay in your strength zone. These gifts that God gives each of us are not just for us alone. He gives us these gifts to also help build His kingdom.
Each of us has a specific role to play in the body of Christianity. That does not necessarily mean He expects you to go to some third world country, or for you to start preaching at your church. But, there are people that only you can reach. Are you using your gifts to build the kingdom? Are you serving in your local church? Are you serving in your community? Even if you have not discovered your gifts, or are still discovering what your Christian gifts are, you could simply take a step and volunteer. When you help others you will experience a deep rewarding feeling inside.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 (NKJV).
Everyone truly has something to give to help others with. You can simply give a smile, a handshake, or an encouraging word to those around you. As you step out and serve others, God considers this your stewardship to His kingdom, and He will truly be pleased! Know that your gifts and talents are a part of your divine destiny.
Do not spend your time trying to improve on your weaknesses. Instead, spend your time strengthening your gifts. Do not spend valuable time pursuing things that are outside your main gifting either. Just stay focused only on your strengths. The things you can do that comes easy to you. The things that you are good at naturally are truly the Christian gifts that God gave you to develop. When you first step out into your area of God's specific purpose and plan, you will start to see these gifts inside of you begin to grow.
You will start to experience great joy in your life, and you will truly be moving forward into the destiny God has in store for you!
